Our Vision Statement: Parkview Elementary School is a center of learning that reflects the profound changes occurring in the American landscape. We celebrate diversity both culturally and racially, accepting people for who they are. Student success is reflected in the number of awards and recognition that the school and individuals have received in academics, athletics, and community service. Students are excited about learning, and that excitement is supported at all levels through incentives and public acknowledgement.
Parkview is a center of pride. Hallways and classrooms are decorated by the hard work of students, teachers, and parents. Parents and visitors are welcomed and encouraged to visit and be a part of the educational process. Parental involvement is encouraged at school functions as well as during the school day.
Parkview provides a solid curriculum that is designed to consistently improve student achievement, as well as focusing on emotional and social needs. State of the art materials and the use of current technology give all students an equal opportunity to be well prepared for tomorrow's society. Differentiated instruction and enhanced activities reflect the uniqueness of each child. High standards of behavior are established in order to ensure that all Parkview students leave us with a solid understanding of what is appropriate behavior and what is not.
Parkview is a school with a heart that seeks to provide its students with an excellent education that prepared them for the future. Through a strong partnership with families and the community, each student receives the necessary tools for success.
The Spotlight Schools awards honor high poverty, high performing schools where at least 50% of students are classified as low-income and at least 60% passed (met or exceeded standards) the state reading and mathematics tests. All Spotlight Schools made annual yearly progress and sustained their performance over the past three years.
